Böblingen Germany

Happy FRIYAY! Are you ready for the weekend?

I’ve been back from vacay for a while and I’m still recapping on all my photos! It’s been non stop since I’ve been back, but here’s a continuing of my travel journey. Enjoy!

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………..

Böblingen, a cute little town just 15 minutes away from Stuttgart city center by public train transportation. A very tranquil and cozy town where it was great to escape from the touristy areas of Stuttgart.

I was able to catch the transition of winter into spring, lucky the sun was out but it was still a bit cold.

The parks of Böblingen, so peaceful and relaxing. The ducks agree.

Street food is real food.

Motor World, the space for motor passion where collectors show their cars for the last Sunday of the month auto show.

Schönbuch Bräu Brauhaus, brewing their own Hefeweizen since 1823. Its not a complete German trip without visiting a beer house.

Ritter Sport factory and museum in Waldenbuch. The factory was off limits to visitors but the little museum of Ritter Sport was interesting. Best part of this visit, the Choco Shop at the end where it’s endless shopping of CHOCOLATE! There’s also a cafe with specialty desserts made only of Ritter Sport chocolate (of course).

Stained glass ceiling resembles the Ritter Sport iconic square packaging

Parts of the original recipe book of yum yums

Loved the gold foil packaging from the 1950’s

Original molds from the 1920’s

and off to retail therapy at the Choco Shop…..

Lets just say, this was the best shopping experience. My favorite flavor is “Jamaica Rum”, real rum alcohol (not flavoring) is used and sadly its not sold in the States.

Hope you enjoyed a glimpse of Böbligen Germany, stay posted on my continued adventures.
